Remember that we’re all human in those rooms,

and you can affect us on an emotional level.

It’s what we all really want. That’s your job.

Learn the skills and techniques that will give you the edge in your commercial audition.

Casting directors await you on the other side of the door you can see as either a gateway or barricade. Whether it’s a pre-read for an associate or a full-blown director or producer callback session, this is your time, your experience, your opportunity to do exceptional work. Enter the space and do the work for yourself, for the gratification of the work itself, and yes, to collaborate with other creative people waiting to figure it out with you. We need you; we can’t do it without you.

With half of my career in Los Angeles and half in New York, I’ve seen just about every possible scenario that can happen in a casting studio. I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects such as national network commercials, network promos, political ads, feature films, short films, documentaries, corporate industrials, music videos, PSA’s, Webisodes and Voice-Overs for both TV and radio spots. Some of the directors I’ve worked with include: David Fincher, Tom Hooper, Tony Scott, Peter Berg, John Singleton, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Doug Liman,

Phil Morrison, and Errol Morris. I’m currently a Casting Director with one of the busiest companies in New York, Beth Melsky Casting.
